The statement, “The Real Divide in Louisiana Isn’t Republican vs. Democrat — It’s Us vs. Corruption,” is a populist rallying cry that reflects the deep-seated historical and pervasive issue of political corruption in Louisiana.
“This fight isn’t left vs. right — it’s citizens vs. corruption. Louisiana’s survival depends on truth and sovereignty.”
There was a time when political lines were clear. Republican or Democrat. Left or right. But in 2025, that divide feels almost childish compared to the one Louisiana now faces. The true battle line cuts between the people of Louisiana and the government that was supposed to protect us — state, federal, and even some of our own local officials.
Never in my lifetime did I imagine that Louisiana citizens would be fighting for their land the way our Native American ancestors once did — pushing back against a government willing to sacrifice generations for profit, power, and political convenience. Yet here we are. History isn’t repeating; it’s reminding.
What we are witnessing today was not an accident.
It was a plan years in the making.
And now the people are trying to stop the steal in a matter of months.
The 2025 Betrayal: A Legislature That Played Its Own People
Many showed up to the Capitol this year — farmers, parents, veterans, small-business owners — believing their presence mattered, believing their legislators would listen. Instead, we watched lawmakers play, manipulate, and mislead the same citizens they swore an oath to serve.
Legislators filed bills promising protection from eminent domain abuses tied to CCS.
They pushed the bills through the Natural Resources Committee.
They told us, “We’ve got your back.”
And then on the House floor… those same bills were pulled from the calendar six separate times.
That is not a mistake.
That is not strategy.
That is not politics as usual.
It is deception.
It is betrayal.
It is the clearest evidence yet that these bills were never meant to pass — only to pacify the public.
The message to every citizen who made the drive to Baton Rouge was simple:
“Sit down, go home, and feel grateful we pretended to fight for you.”
The Lawsuit: When the Government Breaks Its Oath, the People Must Act
And so here we are — turning not to our legislators, but to the courts.
Save My Louisiana has been working tirelessly to fund a lawsuit against the State of Louisiana for violating our constitutional rights. In 2006, the people of Louisiana voted unanimously to amend the constitution to prevent eminent domain from being used for private gain or economic development.
Yet Governor Jeff Landry and his administration have traveled the state selling CCS as “economic development.”
What economic development?
At a Natural Resources meeting earlier this year, the head of Louisiana Economic Development admitted that Allen Parish would gain one single job — one — in exchange for millions of tons of CO₂ being injected and stored beneath their aquifer.
One job.
For a lifetime of risk.
For the permanent loss of control over the land our families have lived on for generations.
This isn’t economic development.
This is exploitation.
A Moral and Spiritual Battle
As dark as these days feel, there is one saving grace — and it does not come from Baton Rouge or Washington, DC. It comes from the one power greater than all of us combined: God.
If we are to survive this, if we are to reclaim our state, then the veil must be lifted.
The corruption must be exposed.
And truth must rise to the surface no matter how hard those in power try to bury it.
Many ordinary Louisianans are speaking out. Many are risking retaliation — myself included. Some legislators have already turned to punishment against citizens who dare to exercise their First Amendment rights.
But the price of silence is far greater.
Reject the Excuse: “It’s Louisiana Politics.”
I am exhausted by the phrase, “That’s Louisiana politics — it’s always been this way.”
No.
It has only lasted this long because too many people were convinced they couldn’t fight it.
We can fight it.
We must fight it.
And with divine intervention, we will end decades of corruption and abuse that have robbed this state of its promise.
This is not Republican vs. Democrat.
This is the people of Louisiana vs. a corrupted political system that believes it owns us.
Stand With Your Fellow Citizens — This Is Our Defining Moment
Louisiana is standing at the edge of a political, moral, and spiritual crossroads.
We either reclaim our government, or we lose our state.
This fight is not about politics.
It is about survival.
It is about sovereignty.
It is about every child who deserves clean water, safe land, and a government that fears its people — not the other way around.
Please, stand with your fellow Louisianans.
Stand with the truth.
Stand with the land that raised you.
It is time to stop this state-sanctioned betrayal, this manufactured land grab, this corruption masquerading as progress.
It is time to clean house in Baton Rouge.
It is time to take back our government.
And it is time for the citizens of Louisiana to remind every elected official — from the courthouse to the Capitol — that we are not subjects. We are sovereign.
